The local Red Clay Reading Council was formed in 1990. Our goal is to bring all teachers in this area together to promote literacy, share information and ideas, discuss issues related to reading, and create an on-going community of people who have an intellectual passion for books and a love for reading. Together, we can encourage and inspire each other to go out into our city and county schools and awaken imaginations, open doorways to thought, and nurture souls through the power of books and the beauty of reading.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ~ Dr. Seuss (1904-1991)
