CMS earned the designation of being a Common Sense School. We have worked hard on teaching our students digital citizenship lessons, and we are proud of our new designation!
Student Spotlight: Madalyn Dauphinais
Madalyn is an 8th grader at CMS, and her favorite thing about our school is the welcoming environment of the teachers and staff. She is involved in football/ wrestling cheer, winterguard, swim team, and BETA club. She writes for the CMS newspaper, Raider Times, and she is a part of the RaiderTV program. She also participates in the CMS linguistics club. Last year, Madalyn won first in the nation for BETA’s science competition, and she will be traveling to complete in BETA club nationals for science this summer. She is excited for the opportunity to
represent CMS at the competition. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Schroll. She said, “he is always willing to answer my questions, and he makes his class enjoyable.”
Students in Mrs. Bryson's 7th grade science class are working on Punnett squares during their themed heredity unit!

If you or a member of your family have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces and would like to be recognized in our virtual program, please complete this online form by Friday, October 30th: https://forms.gle/fi1qntCtpc4k4faX7. CMS Families,
The CMS Power School schedules are visible. The Related Arts schedules are still being altered and will be final by Monday, Aug. 17. Any scheduling questions, must be addressed to: llaing@clevelandschools.org. The schedule is very tight and there is not room to make major changes.
Students who are new to Cleveland City, will not be able to view their schedules until Monday, Aug. 10. If you have not received a call from their homeroom teacher, please let me know! If you cannot log into Power School, e-mail: uchelp@clevelandschools.org.
Students will receive a paper copy of their schedules next week when they come.
All tuition payments are due before students come next week. All fees can be paid now online or in person next week to a counselor who will be outside to collect them.
Our Daily Schedule: Students must be in homeroom by 7:50am. Bus students and all 6th grade car riders will be dismissed at 2:30pm each day. 7th/8th grade students will be dismissed at 2:50pm each day.
Students will only come TWO days next week. One day is by their last name and it will be a full day. The second day is Friday, August, 14 and school will be dismissed at 10:40 that day for bus riders and 7th/8th car riders. 6th grade car riders will be dismissed at 10:15am.
Students will come a FULL day based on the first letter of their last name:
Monday, August 10: Last names A-D
Tuesday, August 11: Last names E-L
Wednesday, August 12: Last names M-Q
Thursday, August 13: Last names R-Z
Friday August 14: ALL STUDENTS COME FOR 1/2 Day
Parents--please do not come during the day to bring items to your child. We are being careful about who is in our building and with items being brought to our school.
If you need to check out your student during the school day. You will need to ring the doorbell and show your ID to the secretary through the outdoor camera. You will tell the secretary who you are here to pick up. The student will be called to the office. The secretary will bring you a form to sign out the student while you wait outside of the front office.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility, while we work to keep our students safe! We are sooo excited to see our students next week!!!
