Get Ready for Prom Spirit Week!
Prom week is just around the corner, and we’re bringing awareness to safe driving with fun daily activities! From March 31 - April 4, participate in the 24/7 Movement to help reduce crashes and make prom night safe for everyone!
• Monday: Take a pic with a seatbelt before buying a prom ticket!
• Tuesday: Paint your thumbnail red as a reminder to never text and drive.
• Wednesday: Wear orange to support safer work zones.
• Thursday: Sign the safe driving pledge before purchasing your ticket.
• Friday: Catch up on any missed activities!
Each event will be documented next to prom ticket sales—let’s make prom week fun and safe!

We attended the Washington Area Model United Nations Conference (WAMUNC) in Washington, D.C., from March 19-23. We took 24 students, 9th-12th grade, who were accompanied by Ms. Phillips, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Pritchard, and Mrs. Pritchard. We walked the monuments, saw the White House, and explored the National Art Gallery, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Smithsonian Museum of African-American History. We also spent a fun afternoon at the National Zoo. Students represented countries
as well as historical figures on various Model United Nations committees in their conference sessions which took place on George Washington University’s campus and ran from Thursday evening to Saturday night. Our students represented us well and did an incredible job preparing for and participating in the conference!

If you have attended CHS before this year, you know our beloved Mrs. Ector. In loving memory of Mrs. Ector, we want to continue her legacy of kindness and generosity by hosting a Canned Good Drive Competition through RISE classes over the next two weeks.
All donations will go to Barbara’s Market, which provides food for families in need within our community—just as Mrs. Ector always worked to support those around her.
To make this effort even more exciting, the top three RISE classes that bring in the most canned goods will win a pizza party!

The ACT is right around the corner. All Juniors will be testing on Tuesday, March 25. Everyone should be aware of the schedule that day. Seniors will be off campus for projects. Juniors will be testing with RISE teachers. Sophomores take the PreACT. Freshmen will learning about how the ACT can be helpful and strategies.
Congratulations to former Lady Raider Basketball Coach Rachel Powell Moore! She was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame last night. Rachel was the CHS Coach from 1999-2011.
