Teacher Feature: Sam Brannon, Stuart Elementary

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Sam Brannon to Cleveland City Schools!

Ms. Brannon received a degree in K-5 Elementary with an ESL endorsement from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2021. It didnโ€™t take long for her to realize her heart belonged in a second-grade classroom.

โ€œIโ€™ve always wanted to work with kids,โ€ Brannon said.

After hearing such great things about Cleveland City Schools, she decided to start her career in elementary education.

โ€œI was told Cleveland City Schools is a great school system, a place you would want to retire,โ€ Brannon said.

Ms. Brannon started her first official year as a 2nd-grade teacher at Stuart Elementary School in August. She said the culture and staff helped make the transition seamless.

โ€œI had so many teachers offer to help me when I first started, people who didnโ€™t even know me,โ€ Brannon said. โ€œThereโ€™s always someone willing to help me. We are truly like family.โ€

Principal Kim Bradford said her positive attitude fits perfectly with the Stuart family.

โ€œSam Brannon is an amazing educator whose skills and knowledge support students in the classroom,โ€ Bradford said. โ€œHer engaging lessons cause students to exercise curiosity, while she builds strong positive relationships with our school families. Stuart Elementary is grateful for Ms. Brannon's impact on our school community!โ€

We are so grateful for Ms. Brannonโ€™s hard work and dedication to her students!
