Cleveland, Tennessee - Cleveland High, Cleveland Middle, Stuart, Arnold Memorial, Blythe-Bower, and Mayfield Elementary Schools have been named Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase Schools for the 2022-2023 School Year. It’s the first year Arnold, Blythe-Bower, and Mayfield Elementary Schools have been named. It’s the fourth time for Cleveland High, the third for Cleveland Middle, and the second for Stuart Elementary.
The recognition is awarded by the Flippen Group, a leading educational training and consulting firm, to schools that demonstrate a commitment to creating a positive school culture and providing a nurturing environment for students across the nation.
Capturing Kids Hearts is a program designed to improve student behavior, academic performance, and overall school climate. The program focuses on building relationships between students and teachers, creating a sense of belonging and safety in the classroom, and providing social and emotional support to students.
“I am so proud of this district for what they have done with Capturing Kids Hearts,” said Diane Wilborn, leadership solutions advisor for Capturing Kids Hearts. “They are so progressive. The leaders and teachers are all in for these kids and that’s shown on the Capturing Kids Hearts fronts. They are setting the stage for Tennessee in the Capturing Kids' Hearts world and people are taking note. Every building I walk in I can see it and feel it, from the kids to the adults.”
“Having worked for Cleveland City Schools and now Capturing Kids Hearts, I’m proud to know this continues to be a student-centered district,” said Jason McCowan, leadership development strategist for Capturing Kids Hearts. “We’re seeing a major impact on these kids and it’s clear these teachers really enjoy what they do.”
Congratulations to Cleveland High, Cleveland Middle, Stuart, Arnold Memorial, Blythe-Bower, and Mayfield Elementary on this well-deserved recognition as Capturing Kids Hearts National Showcase Schools!
