Cleveland City Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Casey Price as the new Assistant Principal of Yates Primary School. Price, who previously served as the Assistant Principal of Blythe-Bower Elementary School, brings more than two decades of administration, teaching and coaching experience to his new role.
In his 26 years, Price has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in education and dedication to student achievement. He has served as the summer school administrator for Cleveland City Schools for the past four years. Coaching is also a passion for Price, who has led over 30 All State performers, serving as assistant track coach at Tennessee Wesleyan University and assistant track coach at Lee University. He also coached high school and middle school track/cross country for 16 years.
Price holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, as well as a Master’s degree in Education and Administration from Lee University. Prior to his role at Blythe-Bower, he also taught at Cleveland Middle School, Cleveland High School and Ooltewah High School.
Price stated, “I’m excited to continue the work of developing not only the Yates family but the district as well. I also look forward to working with Mrs. Bishop as she embarks on her new role as Principal. Our combined experience will create a great atmosphere at Yates Primary.”
Dr. Jeff Elliott, Director of Schools for Cleveland City Schools shared his confidence in Price, saying, “With a steadfast commitment to fostering academic excellence and a nurturing school environment, Mr. Price is poised to inspire both students and staff towards even greater achievements at Yates Primary.”
