Cleveland Rallies for Pediatric Cancer Awareness and Celebrates Blue Raiders' 5-0 Start

Cleveland City Schools was honored to host a special evening at Greenway Park Friday to recognize and support the young warriors in our community battling pediatric cancer. Families and foundations gathered to share their stories, raise awareness, and show what it means to truly stand together.

Before the football game, a powerful video tribute was played at Raider Field, honoring pediatric cancer survivors, current fighters, and angels. The video, featuring heartfelt messages and photos, served as a moving reminder of the bravery of these children and the importance of supporting their families and the fight against pediatric cancer.

After the tribute, the focus shifted to the pre-game walk and recognition ceremony. The sea of blue shirts with gold ribbons made a powerful statement, showing that our community is united in supporting these kids and raising awareness for pediatric cancer. It was a meaningful way to kick off the night’s Homecoming football game and remind everyone of the importance of coming together for a cause bigger than ourselves.

And what a game it was! The Blue Raiders continued their incredible season, earning a 5-0 record for the first time since 2006. It was a thrilling win that capped off an unforgettable evening, celebrating not just the team’s success on the field, but the strength and spirit of our entire community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support these events and to the incredible families who inspire us all.
