Cleveland High School’s Pearson Waller Achieves World Champion Status

Pearson Waller, a junior at Cleveland High School, recently achieved a significant milestone in her equestrian career by winning the Junior Exhibitor Five-Gaited class and Championship at the prestigious World’s Championship Horse Show, which is held at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville, Kentucky. This victory solidifies Pearson's place as a world champion Saddlebred exhibitor, a title that reflects her dedication, passion, and hard work.

From an early age, Pearson's love for Saddlebreds has driven her to strive for excellence. Competing at this level requires more than just skill; it demands discipline, perseverance, and a deep connection with her horse. Her recent win is the culmination of years of commitment, countless hours of training, and a true passion for the sport.

“When I heard my name called as the world champion, I was in total shock. It was an incredible and surreal moment, but more than anything, it was so much fun. Competing and doing what I love at this level is an amazing experience, and I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way,” Pearson said.

Despite her success, Pearson remains humble and focused on her future goals. She is preparing for one more competition before turning her attention to her long-term dreams. Pearson aspires to become a horse trainer or a horse show photographer, professions that would allow her to remain close to the sport she loves. Ultimately, she hopes to run her family's horse farm one day, a dream that reflects her deep-rooted passion and commitment to the equestrian community.

Pearson's journey is an inspiration to her peers at Cleveland High School and beyond. Her story is a powerful reminder that with hard work and dedication, dreams can indeed become reality.

Dr. Jeff Elliott, Director of Schools for Cleveland City Schools, praised Pearson’s dedication and accomplishments: “Pearson’s achievements in the equestrian world are truly remarkable. She embodies the values of hard work and perseverance that we strive to instill in all our students. Her success is an inspiration to her peers and a source of pride for our entire district.”

For now, Pearson is enjoying her well-deserved title as a world champion Saddlebred exhibitor and looking forward to what the future holds. Whether in the show ring or on the family farm, Pearson Waller is sure to continue making a significant impact in the world of Saddlebreds.
