Cleveland City Schools is proud to announce that Hal Taylor, Director of Operations, has been awarded the 2024 Educator of the Year Award by the Tennessee Environmental Health Association (TEHA). This honor is a testament to Hal’s extraordinary efforts to improve environmental health across our district, ensuring that our schools are safer and healthier places for students, staff, and the entire Cleveland community.

Mr. Taylor has been a steadfast advocate for promoting environmental safety and health standards within our schools. His hands-on approach to fostering a cleaner, more sustainable environment has touched every aspect of daily school life, from reducing environmental hazards to implementing energy-efficient solutions. 

"Hal Taylor goes above and beyond to ensure that our students and staff have a healthy environment to learn and grow in," said Director of Schools, Dr. Jeff Elliott. "This award is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work, commitment, and passion for making a difference in our schools and the broader community."

Mr. Taylor’s initiatives have had a lasting impact on the district, from creating awareness about the importance of environmental health to implementing practical measures that ensure the well-being of everyone in the school system.
