Cleveland High School senior and standout basketball player Lauren Hurst has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 McDonald’s All American Games, a showcase of the nation’s top high school basketball talent. Hurst’s nomination places her among an elite group of 805 players nationwide vying for a coveted spot in the annual event, which will take place on April 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Lauren Hurst, a leader on and off the court, has demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout her high school basketball career. Known for her dynamic playmaking abilities and strong leadership, Hurst recently announced her commitment to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she will continue her basketball journey as a Lady Vol.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be nominated for such a prestigious event,” said Cleveland High School Principal Bob Pritchard. “Lauren represents the very best of what it means to be a student-athlete, and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishments both on the court and in the classroom.”
The McDonald’s All American Games is widely regarded as the nation’s premier high school basketball showcase, with alumni including basketball icons such as Candace Parker, Breanna Stewart, Jayson Tatum, and Kevin Durant. The top 24 boys and 24 girls selected to participate in the games will be announced later this month on ESPN’s digital and social platforms.
