Five swimmers to represent CHS in the TISCA State Championship Meet

The Cleveland High School swim team traveled to Knoxville on Saturday to compete in the KISL Championship City Meet. Both girls’ relay teams qualified for the finals competition. The 200 Medley Relay (Ella Lipscomb, MJ Miller, Jadyn Dauphinais, and Estella Clemons) finished 10th overall, and the 200 Freestyle Relay (Ella Lipscomb, Abby Anglin, Jadyn Dauphinais, and Estella Clemons) finished 8th overall. The boys’ 200 Medley Relay (Timothy Collier, Matthew Fox, Cameron McDaniel, and Noah Hogan) also qualified for the finals competition and finished 13th overall. 

Three individuals qualified for the finals: Jadyn Dauphinais in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke; Cameron McDaniel in the 500 freestyle; and Matthew Fox in the 100 breaststroke. Jadyn Dauphinais had an impressive 57.54 swim and took 1st place in the 100 butterfly. She later finished 7th in the 100 backstroke. Freshman Cameron McDaniel finished 8th in the 500 freestyle. Matthew Fox finished 14th in the 100 breaststroke to become the third individual from the CHS swim team to secure a spot in the state championship meet. 

Five members of the swim team will represent Cleveland High School in the TISCA State Championship Meet on February 10th and 11th: Maverick Dasher (senior), Matthew Fox (junior), Timothy Collier (sophomore), Cameron McDaniel (freshman), and Jadyn Dauphinais (junior).
